Ginger Tea

Ginger is well known as a home remedy for pregnant women with nausea. But did you know it also acts as an anti-inflammatory - helping relieve pain in joints - as well has helping to lower cholesterol levels?

If you're looking for a way to get your daily fill of this healing root try this simple tea. It's quick, tastes delicious and is likely to have you feeling better in no time.

 

Ingredients
2 cups water
4 1/4 slices of fresh ginger
1 teaspoon honey or raw agave
1 lemon slice

Ginger Tea

Directions
Place ginger and water in a pot on the stove and boil for ten minutes. Strain the liquid into a cup. Mix in the honey/agave and a lemon slice (or two).

For joint relief try taking a ginger bath!

 

Ginger Bath

Ingredients
8 1/4 inch slices fresh ginger
2 cups boiling water
I tub filled with warm water
10 minutes of peace and quiet

(Note: The last ingredient can be hard to find but keep your eyes open as you never know when it may appear)

 

Directions
Place ginger slices in a container with two cups of boiling water. Cover the container for 10 minutes, allowing the liquid to steep and keep in the essential oils. Pour the steeped liquid into you bath and enjoy!
