Whether your child has food allergies or you suffer from them yourself, you know identifying what is safe to eat can be both challenging and unnerving.
At momme meals we take food allergens seriously and know that information is key to your safe and tasty food enjoyment. Here are some facts about our kitchen and our ingredients to help you make excellent choices for you and your family.
While our incredible energy snacks do not contain any of the major allergens, we are made in a facility that processes milk, eggs, peanuts, tree-nuts, soy, wheat, fish and shellfish. For the well being of all those who enjoy Go Chews, we work tirelessly to ensure every step possible is taken to prevent cross contamination within our facility, from staff education to strict processing practices.
To that end, our Turkish Apricot Go Chews do contain coconut, a palm, which under FDA guidelines needs to be listed separately as a potential allergen. For a full synopsis on tree-nut allergens please visit this informative page by Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE).
Organic: Every ingredient used in momme meals creations, from our hemp seeds to our ground cinnamon, comes from a certified organic producer. By doing so we are also ensuring that our ingredients are NON-GMO.
Gluten-Free: By nature of the ingredients we use, our Go Chews are gluten-free. We take an extra step by ensuring the organic rolled oats we use in our products have also been tested and certified "gluten-free", meaning they meet the threshold of fewer than 20 ppm (parts per million) gluten.
